Over the weekend saw a couple of films…infact added 2 movies again to my collection…(that reminds me…I need to enter my collection here)….added ‘’Memento’’ and ‘’Jamon Jamon’’ this weekend.
Have not yet watched Memento…but it seems to be a good movie…..watched Jamon Jamon…..it’s a spanish film and its outrageously hilarious…..now u must be wondering as to why am I watching so many spanish movies…..well…no I ain’t moving to Spain….just that I like that language and sometime…I want to learn to speak it……

It’s the story of a woman whose mother is a prostitute (because her husband leaves her)….is in love with the son of her employer…..infact she is carrying his child….but the son’s mom doesn’t want a prostitute as her relative….so she takes the help of an aspiring bullfighter (who fights bulls in the nude)…she goes to meet this guy to put forth her proposal……unfortunately she finds him too irresistible…..so she sleeps with him….immediately after she finishes her act…she realises she is in love with him…..she buys hima mobike……infact bcos she promises to buy hima mobike…he sleeps with her……he starts his assignment…and goes and meets the dame…..and keeps meeting her…..and like a hindi movie…falls in love with her…..now initially our heroine doesn’t reciprocate…since she thinks she is in love with her man…..however slowly she realises that all her man wants is sex…and when he doesn’t get it….he goes to get it from his lover’s mom (who is a prostitute…so she doesn’t feel anything to sleep with our guy for money).and so she starts drifting towards our bullfighter…..finally she succumbs and sleeps with our man……the bullfighter……well……that’s not the end…..coincidentally her bf witnesses the amorous meeting between his girl and the bullfighter…and goes and tells his mom abt it…….but obvious mom feels J abt it……and so she goes to meet bullfighter…..there she witnesses the act between bullfighter and son’s girl……however here is the twist…..she doesn’t realise that son is following her and he too reaches there….and he wants to go inside and kill bullfighter….but mom drags him away sayin that she will take care of it…..
Well…..she goes and meets girl and tells her to marry her son…however our girl is tired of waiting for son…..so she refuses and tells mom that she no longer loves her son……so mom ina fit of revenge tells her that she has paid bullfighter to sleep with our girl…and that bullfighter loves mom…..she goes and meets bullfighter and tells her that he shdnt meet the girl….however bullfighter says that he wid meet…..so mom declares her love to him………and then promises him a mercedes and takes him to bed…..while they are in bed…..son comes to fight bullfighter and sees mom…….trying to put on her clothes……a fight ensues…..and bullfighter (who is actually a ham seller) picks up one of the pig’s thighs and batters son…..and both batter each other while mom is dressing up…….in the meantime…..our heroine rushes to meet her bf’s father asking for his help……and believe it or not……bf’s father nurses secret desires for our woman……so he starts making his advances…..towards her…….
Finally its such a funny movie…with everyone sleeping with just abt everyone……bf sleeps with gf who sleeps with villain…..who sleeps with bf’s mom…..who doesn’t like her hubby…who wanst to sleep with gf….its so hilarious……..Its tragic in the end….but its tragically hilarious…

As usual its been so long since I wrote something.........not that my life has been boring......infact its just the opposite......life has been so hectic...that I just have not had the time to sit down and blog.....work has been really busy and I hv hardly had time to do anything other than work (for a change)...but I like it thatw ay.....u enter the office at 9......log in to teh comp.....work till 12...have lunch...go for a walk....back to work and before you realise it its 5 and its time to go home....(yeah I go home at 5) ....now isnt that nice......:-)))

now let me try to recall what has happened over the last few weeks......saw some good movies.....the latest one which I saw was ''Amelie''....I know its an old movie...but I had not watched it and I found it on the sale...so I snapped the DVD along with ''All about my mother'' by Pedro Almodovar......Amelie was sucha beautiful movie......the colors were amazing...it gives sucha happy feeling to watch the movie as it takes u thro' the life of Amelie....played brilliantly by Audrey Tatou.....its such a simple story but trated brilliantly.....and makes u laugh and sometimes cry when u look at teh simplicity.....Audrey is brilliant......the most striking feature of her face is her eyes....which sparkle like stars.....the mischievious look that she has when she tries out stunts is so endearing......I loved it.....

On Sunday I watched Bad Education by Pedro Almodovar......my first Almodovar movie....but I reallly liked it.....the cinematography was amazing.....there were colours in abundance......and even though the subject of the movie was disturbing......just watching it and soaking in the colours gives one a happy feeling......it proves that colours can be classified in to 2 categories.....Happy and Depressing......so if u wanna feel happy .....just have the right colours around u....

The movie was about 2 friends who study in a catholic school......and touches upon hostel life .....abuse by a paedophile priest.....the blooming of a relationship between the 2 main protagonists of the film.......the movie keeps shuttling between the present and the past...Sometimes u are at school....and sometimes u are transported in to the adult lives of both these men.......its beautifully captured...and explores the beautiful Spanish countryside ina few scenes.....Its shocking and along the middle.....one gets a real shock.....its one of those movies which u keep pondering about even after 2 days of watching it which is what I liked....I was still trying to figure out some scenes and what they actually meant.... Now when I think of it....I realise that the whole film didnt have any female characters.....its a total male oriented film....where there are no mix of female-male characters......a very typical Almodovar theme.....eg....''Talk to her''(which I have not watched as yet)....is supposed to have 2 strong female characters.....also '' All about my mother'' is supposed to be very strong female character dominated.....

This weekend was hectic......actuallly all 3 days starting from Friday evening was hectic...we had this Latin American farewell party at Blackfriars which was just amazing.....they had these Samba and Salsa dancers who put in sucha terrific performance...and Brazilian music...well.....I dont think I need to say anything more abt that music......its a kind of music which doesnt allow one to sit .....u just have to be on ur feet and move ur body.....it was fun.....we danced for something like 5 hours nonstop.....and it felt good.....

On Saturday.....was to meet Garry for a day in London which was fun though tiring....we met at the Tate Modern and then moved towards Hyde Park where we spent most of the day just relaxing under some huge trees and chatting.....Later in teh evening we went to Covent Garden....and listened to some open air music which was nice but not the kind which I really like....
