Atlast I have accomplished my desire of becoming a blogger......aaah...what a heady feeling....have heard so much abt blogging and now I too am a part of it....
I created this to record all my ''mixperiences''(mixed experiences) in the Queens land.Well....where do I start from? Ok....yesterday went to Greenwich...had studied abt teh Greenwich mean line in geography in school....but had never thot then that I wd be actually standing on that line one day.Greenwich is a quaint town(actually was a village in the pre war days, however now has got converted in to a town). It still has a victorian feel to it which I really liked.Took the Docklands Light Rail from Lewisham to Greenwich Cutty Sark. Now u must be wondering what is Docklands Light Rail...well...its another train service which is operated by remote control....believe that...we sit ina train which doesnt hv a driver....wow....only teh brits cd think of something like that....there are these miniature cameras which show the exact location to some central station which locates the control centre.Well I wonder what wd happen if the train suddenly develops a mind of its own and travels off to France....:-))))...Well it didnt travel to France unfortunately....so got down at Cutty Sark station.I began nagging Sourabh as to what is Cutty Sark and he didnt say anything.....and as soon as we came out of teh station....Lo...in front of my eyes was this huge ship...yeah the ship was Cutty Sark...pretty nicely preserved.
Checked out teh ship and then went in to the Greenwich market....wow....the smell of freshly ground VanillaCoffee.....ooooooooooooooo...whata smell man.....was out of this world....unfortunately the guy was only selling beans and not coffee....moved to the next stall...which had yummmy olives in all weird combinations of oils.....moved ahead....a woman selling chopsticks.....a man selling head caps....supposedly hand knitted in the Himalayas...why wd anyone wanna sit and handknit caps in teh himalays...well....looked thro all the stalls and then moved out to the obervatory which has the Mean line.....the place is beautifu......was windy and wet....and i didnt hva cap (which i regretted) as the cold wind targetted my ear and now i hv a earache....
anyways....went up the hill and saw the eman line.....naaaah...the line wasnt very mean....:-))) silly joke eh....
was beautiful view from up there.....spent some time there.....and then decided that I wd come there in summer...as the place wd be beautiful in summer....
came down.....the hill...and as usual felt hungry...saurabh suggested a Noodle joint ...yummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmyyy...Chinese after long....and this place...was cooooooooooooooooool......such cheap food...and still good quality..and boy was it crowded....settled down there...and ordered...carrot juice and rice and duck......ummmmmmmmmmmmm......duck was good....but kept getting visions of a live duck.....the texture was slightly chewy....chicken is much softer.....but good.....after lunch time for a coffee.....so went to starbucks and had LATTE....
After that caught teh train and back home.....was agood day except that if I hada cap it wd hv been better......wd hv avoided the earache,......
